    These words were spoken to me many years ago by the late tenor saxophonist Bill Cody and I have lived by those words ever since.

     Call it swinging, rocking, pocket, deep funk......they all equal the term groove which is nothing more than the dance that is found in all music and that is the drummers job to make music come alive.

     The groove is the basis of my teaching.  I teach all styles : Reading, Interpretation, and Good Time. 

     Lessons with me are all geared to help you become a working drummer.  My list of credits is proof positive that study, intelligent practice, talent and desire can help you reach the musical heights you desire.
